1. Introduction to Delivery Servers

Delivery servers are crucial components of any email marketing strategy. They are responsible for sending out your email campaigns to your subscribers. Understanding and managing your delivery servers effectively can significantly enhance your email delivery rates and ensure your campaigns reach their intended recipients.

Mail Enchanter allows users to use the Mail Enchanter delivery Servers by default. However, you may want to add your own Delivery Servers as well as Warm Up Plans in order to control your email reputation with ISP's.

2. Adding a Delivery Server

To get started with delivery servers in Mail Enchanter, navigate to the delivery server section within your account.

Steps to Add a New Delivery Server:

  • Select the Type of Server: Choose from various server types available. At present, Mail Enchanter only allows your own SMTP Servers. However over time the options will increase to include: SMTP, Sendmail, Amazon SES, or other third-party services.
  • Enter Server Details: Input the necessary information like hostname, port, username, and password, from email, and from name etc.
  • Test the Server Connection: Ensure the server details are correct, save the settings and that Mail Enchanter can communicate with the server.
  • Save and Manage: Once tested, save the server settings and it will be added to your list of delivery servers. All of your mail will then use our own delivery servers

3. Types of Delivery Servers Supported

Mail Enchanter will eventually support a range of delivery server types to suit different needs. But as already mentioned, only SMTP servers are available at present but will soon include:

  • SMTP: Standard email delivery protocol.
  • Sendmail: Uses the Sendmail program on your server.
  • Amazon SES: Amazon's Simple Email Service.
